Radiology Interpretation

This course is designed to allow participants to learn a systematic approach to reading plain film radiographs.  Knowledge of normal bone, soft tissue and joint appearance are taught to enable attendees to better identify abnormalities.  Skills are further defined as participants are engaged in case studies with X-rays illustration. Course will cover interpretation of the chest, abdomen, spine, and upper and lower extremity.  All areas are inclusive of adult and pediatric patient.

At the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate proper basic approach to reading films to minimize misses and maximize the diagnostic information

  • Identify normal soft tissue and bone imaging from abnormalities

  • Recognize bone mineralization, fractures and identify growth plate involvement of fractures

  • Demonstrate increase knowledge in reading chest, abdomen, spine and bone radiographs.
